Foxtel has today launched an all-new, ‘revamped and re-energised’ streaming service aimed at making subscription TV more affordable – and it's just in time for Game of Thrones season seven.
Foxtel Now is the company’s new, low-cost option that’s offering flexible, on-the-go TV without the burden of setup costs or contracts. It’s the next step in Foxtel’s foray into streaming, and features a huge catalogue of HD titles plus live sports, news, and fast-tracked TV drama.
Foxtel is marketing Now as the streaming alternative for TV junkies looking for a budget-friendly option that doesn’t come with lock-in contracts or fine print. Subscribers can cancel or change their service at any time, there’s no minimum subscription time or cancellation fees, and you’ll even get a two-free trial of all available packages when you sign up.
The service looks set to replace Foxtel's existing Play streaming app, which is priced from $10 per month and includes HBO, sports, National Geographic and the Comedy Channel. Foxtel recently downsized Play channels significantly, although pricing remained unchanged.

The service will come to additional devices later this year, including smart TVs and game consoles. At launch, Now offers over 16,000 on-demand titles to viewers, with around half available in high definition.
