Foxtel Play is now available as an app for the Telstra TV set-top box, alongside the likes of Netflix and Stan. Notably, the app is the first time Foxtel Play has been viewable in high definition. All live Foxtel channels available in high definition will be also be broadcast in high definition through Telstra TV.

Foxtel is planning to offer high definition streaming through additional devices next year.

The announcement follows the launch of Foxtel Play's new pricing structure, which lets you build your own package starting from $10 per month. The new structure allows you to watch premium shows such as Game of Thrones from as little as $15 per month. Previously, this kind of Foxtel Play package would cost at least $45 per month.

Telstra TV set-top boxes are available as a free bonus to customers signing up for Medium or Large Telstra Home Internet Bundles on a 24 month contract. Alternatively, Telstra customers can buy a Telstra TV outright for $109.
