Kogan to offer NBN services from 2018

07 June 2017

E-tailer Kogan today announced that it will start selling fixed-line National Broadband Network connections from 2018. As with its mobile services, Kogan is partnering with Vodafone for its NBN product. Vodafone has yet to set a launch date for its NBN offering, but plans to go live before the end of the year and is currently taking expressions of interest.

As part of the announcement, Kogan said that it will offer mobile broadband services - also powered by Vodafone - before the end of this year.

Executive of director of Kogan.com David Shafer says that Kogan NBN's offering will be all about value and choice.

"Kogan Mobile has delivered on its promise to save Aussies money, with tens of thousands of customers already making the switch," said Shafer.

"We're thrilled to now extend our partnership with Vodafone to enable Kogan.com to offer great new services in mobile broadband and fixed-line NBN at the incredibly low prices that Aussies have come to expect from Kogan.com. Vodafone has been investing heavily to establish its own NBN infrastructure, and is set to roll out its capability over the coming year."

While Kogan has yet to detail specifics of the offering, Shafer says the plans will be "extremely competitive".

Kogan is currently taking expressions of interest for its NBN service. No specific timeframes have been provided for the launch of Kogan Mobile Broadband or Kogan NBN, other than 2017 and 2018, respectively.
