Optus has announced pricing for English Premiere League football streaming, confirming that the service will only be customers using one of its current services.
A new 24/7 EPL channel is in the works, where fans can watch all 380 matches in the EPL season, but a range of commentary and analysis programs.
Data used streaming EPL matches will be unmetered.
It also announced that it would sell a new Fetch TV Mini set-top box to connect the streaming services to TVs without the bulk of the standard Fetch TV PVR unit.
Optus is pitching the pint-sized streamer at its mobile customers who might have their broadband services with someone else. It is also warning that while EPL streaming is data-free from Optus devices, data charges will apply for people who use the streaming box on a competitor’s broadband.
EPL streaming will also be available on the standard Fetch TV box, dedicated mobile apps and through web browsers on PC and Mac.
