Australian streaming service Stan is adding two major features in the next couple of months: offline viewing in March, and 4K streaming.

From March, Stan subscribers will be able to download most the service's content on to iOS and Android devices for offline viewing. While some TV series and films won't be available for download, Stan has confirmed that shows including Twin Peaks, Sherlock, Better Call Saul, and Billions will support offline viewing.

Stan has yet to confirm how many shows you'll be able to download at once, in what resolution, and how long you'll be able to keep them on your phone.

Select content on Stan will be viewable in 4K on select devices from April. To start with, Wolf Creek, Preacher, Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Mad Dogs, Transparent, Mozart in the Jungle, and Power will be available for subscribers to watch in 4K. The PlayStation Pro, and Samsung and LG smart TVs from 2015 and 2016 will be the first devices to support 4K streaming through Stan. More devices will get 4K support later in the year.
