Make just one Samsung payment with an eligible ANZ card before the October promotion cut-off, and you'll receive a voucher for $240 off the retail price of the Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, or the Gear S3.
To claim your discount, you'll need to activate the Promotions/Vouchers section of the Samsung Pay app (and of course, be an ANZ customer with an eligible debit or credit card and Samsung device). Once you're all set up, make any in-store Samsung Pay purchase with your ANZ card before October 18.
Your voucher will appear on your Samsung Pay app and can be redeemed only through Samsung's online store. Customers have from now until January 18, 2018 to use their $240 discount, which sees the cost of the Galaxy S8 reduced to $959, the S8+ to $1109, and the Gear S3 to $358.99 upfront.
Samsung Pay now at Bendigo Bank
In related Samsung Pay news, the platform is now available to Bendigo Bank customers with an eligible card and Samsung device. Bendigo Bank joins the aforementioned ANZ (plus Westpac, CitiBank, American Express and 38 Cuscal-partnered banks and credit unions) in now offering Samsung Pay to customers.
To set up Samsung Pay for your Bendigo Bank account, you'll need a Bendigo Bank debit or credit card, plus a compatible Samsung device: either the Gear S2 or Gear S3 smartwatch, or a smartphone from Galaxy A5, A7, S6, S7, S8, or Note 5 ranges.
Download the Samsung Pay app to your phone, then add your Bendigo Bank card details. Once you've completed this step, you'll need to open or download the Bendigo Protect+Pay banking app to verify and activate your Samsung Pay account.
After you're all set up, you can begin using your Samsung phone or wearable to make purchases at any contactless terminal. Open the Samsung Pay app, select your preferred Bendigo Bank card, verify your fingerprint, iris or passcode, and tap your device to the in-store card or NFC reader.
You'll receive a payment confirmation once your purchase is complete. As Samsung Pay uses 'tokens' to replace your actual card information when processing transactions, your payment details are kept secure, and won't be shared with merchants.
